The adoption rate among global disciple-makers using a digital strategy to identify spiritually open people continues to rapidly increase. It is estimated 13% of all global disciple-makers are involved in an MTM initiative at some level.
According to Everett Rogers who designed the “Adoption Bell Curve” outlined in the Diffusion of Innovations, the next wave of “early majority” adopters is upon us and we can expect a rise to 50% in the next few years. There are many variables including scope and speed but many missiologists agree that three focused areas are needed to effectively advance the gospel in our generation: short-term and long-term sending and digital engagement.
