M2DMM Roles
Each step of the M2DMM process can be broken down into different “roles.” Whether you are a single person or part of a team, here are the different roles or parts of M2DMM. You may not need every role in your M2DMM strategy.
Visionary Leader

- Regularly evaluates Jesus’ definition of success
- Mobilize resources and teammates
- Provides clarity to everyone on mission, vision, values, and processes
Prayer Strategist

- Regularly draw near to God in prayer, worship, and adoration
- Catalyzes prayer and worship that both informs and flows from the team’s vision and strategy
- Become aware of gaps in reaching the vision God has entrusted to them
Content Developer

- Create a persona for the kind of person you are trying to start a digital conversation with
- Create content campaigns addressing obstacles, pain points, and relevant events
- Create content such as pictures, videos, GIFs, articles, etc
Marketer

- Create and manage ad campaigns
- Adjust content and ads through analytics
- Keeping the end-to-end strategy in mind–looking not only at online analytics, but data and stories from the field
Digital Filterer

- Filter through hostile contacts and prioritize potential persons of peace
- Know when a contact is ready to be handed off for a face-to-face meeting
- Guide seekers on a journey instead of providing answers
Dispatcher

- Connects seekers from online conversations with a Digital Filterer to a face-to-face relationship with a Multiplier
- Communicate problems in the system (i.e., not enough Mulitpliers, Multipliers feeling overwhelmed, Digital Filterers needing to filter more strictly)
Multiplier

- Meets online seekers face-to-face equipping to discover, share, and obey the Bible
- Meet with and follow up with seekers in timely manner
- Cast vision to seeker to see their relationships and how to share and make disciples
- Report and update on contacts
Digital Hero

- Not necessary on every team, but often recommended for those that need to take greater security measures or need a legal entity to set up a business account
- Volunteers their identity to set up digital accounts to protect missionaries and workers
- Provide legal entity to set up an account (i.e., Meta Business Account)
Below are roles that you may not need in the beginning, but may need as your M2DMM grows:
Project Manager

Finance Manager
- Manage anything related to budgeting, payment, and funding
Coalition Team/Developer

- Mobilizing and training a coalition or team for the face-to-face follow-up of media contacts
- Facilitate coalition meetings, provide member care for the coalition, keep Multipliers accountable, and motivate toward the vision
- Onboarding new partners and multipliers
Technologist

- Someone skilled in a specific area of technology who can upgrade an M2DMM system as it grows more complex
- Manages websites, enhances the quality of content, and increases the functionality of systems as needs expand
