Facebook’s Audience Insights helps you to take a look at what Facebook knows about their users. You can look at a country and find out unique information about those who are using Facebook there. You can even break a country down into other demographics to gain further insights. This is a great tool to help you learn more about your persona and build custom audiences.
Click on the hamburger menu and select “Audience Insights.”
The first screen shows you all of Facebook’s active users for the month within the USA.
Change the country to your country of interest.
You can narrow down the audience to see how insights change based off their age, gender, and interests.
For example, learn more details about people who like the Bible in your country. You may need to play around with the wording and translations to get optimal results.
Check out the advanced section to narrow down people based off the language they speak, if they are married or single, their educational level, etc.
The green numbers represent areas that are higher than the norm on Facebook and the red number represents are that are lower than the norm.
Pay attention to these numbers because they help you to see how this segmented group is unique compared to other groups.
Play around with the filter and try to gain insights in how to build various customized audiences for ad targeting. You can save an audience at anytime.
