Do you remember the first iteration of Facebook (2004), known formally as Thefacebook? The ‘Like’ button didn’t exist, nor the Newsfeed, Messenger, Live, etc. Many of the features we expect in Facebook today weren’t developed in the original.
It would have been impossible for Mark Zuckerberg to launch today’s version of Facebook from his college dorm room more than a decade ago. Much of Facebook’s current technology simply didn’t exist. He just had to get started with what he had and with what he knew. From there, Facebook iterated over and over again and grew into what we experience today.
The biggest challenge is often getting started. Kingdom.Training will help you create a basic first iteration plan for a Media to Disciple Making Movements (M2DMM) strategy specific to your context.
We have been trying different strategies for 10 years. We had found some people interested in the gospel message, but the time, effort, and cost to find those few was great. Everything was worth it even for one lost sheep brought home, but I couldn’t help thinking of the countless people lost.
Our team had tried to use media in the past, but each time was overwhelmed with response and our efforts eventually fell apart. After we took the Kingdom.Training course, we had a model to help provide vision and structure.
We took a month to gather resources and build our platform. We created 30 days of content for the month of Ramadan looking for people who had experienced dreams and visions.
In the past 10 years, we had found and discipled 8 new believers. In less than three weeks after launching our media strategy, we engaged in deep spiritual conversation with 27 different individuals online, sent out 10 requested Bible and met 3 people face-to-face.
We thank God for the opportunity to accelerate finding potential people of peace.
We are no longer knocking on one door at a time. Now we have a microphone that has the potential to reach the most hidden areas of our country.
